John DeSoto

Sidewalk Artist
John De Soto
Acrylic over colored pencil on paper
Mounted on board
13″ x 16″

This year’s Art Now for Autism is just around the corner! Here is another sneak peak from artist John De Soto. John has a son on the autism spectrum. He writes about Sidewalk Artist, “This piece was inspired by a little girl I saw drawing “hopscotch lines” on a sidewalk.  I started to sketch her while the sun was still casting beautiful shadows. I completed the sketch in my art studio where I added the circle patterns  and rich color. My concept was to have this young sidewalk artist draw circle patterns like a ” jig saw puzzle” and she is part of it.”
