Dear Art Now for Autism friends -
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful month of July! We spent the 4th of July celebrating my son Jacob’s birthday and watching fireworks from the community peer. Jacob has made such tremendous progress since he was first diagnosed with autism.
Art has started flowing in for this year’s exhibit. Many thanks to those who have already sent in their submissions including Alana Zuppas, Ann Griffin, Austin Ksiazek, Cecilia Swatton, Fabio Sassi, Karen Loprete, Karla Smith, Kathleen Murphy, Kristy Christopherson, Elena Mary Siff, Noah Erenberg, Sarah Sipling, and Susan Strong Muir!!! I am posting sneak peaks of some of the art on the Art Now blog. And many, many more artists have already committed to participating this year!
Speaking of the blog, I went a little crazy and redid the Art Now for Autism web site. It is all one cohesive format now so the blog is integrated into the web site. I still have a few kinks to work out but I hope you will stop by and check it out. I plan to sprinkle more fabulous art amongst the pages. http://www.artnowforautism.com
Don’t forget that the deadline for art submissions is less than 2 months away! September 1st. Remember things are a little different this year – only send me a digital image and artists will ship art directly to the buyer when it sells. Go to http://artnowforautism.com/donate/donate-art-2/ for all the details.
T-shirts! T-shirts! Last year a handful of wonderful Art Now artists designed special t-shirts for our Cafe Press shop. I would love to have some new designs this year. If you haven’t heard of Cafe Press, they are an online printing shop that does print-on-demand on t-shirts, tote bags, and lots more. Art Now receives $1-2 from each item sold and this money helps pay for the web site, publicity materials and more. If interested, let me know and I can send you the Art Now logo to add to your design and general guidelines for designing for Cafe Press t-shirts. I would love to have some t-shirts that promote autism issues such as the rate of 1 in 150 children being diagnosed with autism. http://www.cafepress.com/artnowforautism/

Thanks for your continued support!
